Global Research Collaboration for Infectious Disease Preparedness

The Global Research Collaboration for Infectious Disease Preparedness (GloPID-R) is an international initiative to anticipate and prepare for future threats from infectious diseases. GloPID-R is intended to be a means for facilitating communication and collaboration between its member bodies, as opposed to a funding or disaster response entity.{{Cite web|url=http://ec.europa.eu/health/eu_world/docs/ev_20140612_c05_en.pdf|title=Global Research Collaboration for Infectious Disease Preparedness (GloPID-R)|access-date=2016-02-28|first=Irene|last=Plank|publisher= European Commission}} Its secretariat is funded by the European Union through its Horizon 2020 initiative.{{Cite web |title=European Commission : CORDIS : Projects & Results Service : Global Research Collaboration for Infectious Disease Preparedness (GloPID-R) Secretariat |url=http://cordis.europa.eu/project/rcn/194065_en.html |url-status=live |archive-url=https://archive.today/20230129005438/https://cordis.europa.eu/project/id/643434 |archive-date=2023-01-29 |access-date=2016-02-23 |website=European Commission}}
