According to the Cyropedia of Xenophon, Gobryas ({{langx|grc|Γοβρύας}}; {{langx|peo|𐎥𐎢𐎲𐎽𐎢𐎺}} g-u-b-ru-u-v, reads as Gaub(a)ruva?;{{Cite web |title=GAUB(A)RUVA |url=http://www.iranicaonline.org/articles/gaubaruva- |access-date=2023-10-04 |website=Encyclopaedia Iranica}} Elamite: Kambarma) was a Persian general who helped Cyrus II in the conquering of Babylon in 539 BCE.
