Gollion is a municipality of the canton of Vaud in Switzerland, located in the district of Morges.
History

Gollion has an area, {{as of|2009|lc=on}}, of {{convert|5.44|km2|sqmi|sp=us}}. Of this area, {{convert|4.39|km2|sqmi|abbr=on}} or 80.7% is used for agricultural purposes, while {{convert|0.61|km2|sqmi|abbr=on}} or 11.2% is forested. Of the built up area, housing and buildings made up 4.4% and transportation infrastructure made up 3.3%. Out of the forested land, all of the forested land area is covered with heavy forests. Of the agricultural land, 64.7% is used for growing crops and 13.1% is pastures, while 2.9% is used for orchards or vine crops. All the water in the municipality is flowing water.

Politics
In the 2007 federal election the most popular party was the SVP which received 26.06% of the vote. The next three most popular parties were the SP (20.11%), the FDP (18.49%) and the Green Party (11.34%). In Gollion about 218 or (38.6%) of the population have completed non-mandatory upper secondary education, and 95 or (16.8%) have completed additional higher education (either university or a Fachhochschule). Of the 95 who completed tertiary schooling, 55.8% were Swiss men, 28.4% were Swiss women, 9.5% were non-Swiss men and 6.3% were non-Swiss women.
In the 2009/2010 school year there were a total of 70 students in the Gollion school district.
