The Goodwood Overpass carries the Glenelg tram line over the Adelaide-Wolseley railway line in Adelaide, Australia.
History
When originally built, the Glenelg tram line crossed over the Adelaide-Wolseley railway line via a flat junction to the south of Goodwood railway station. As part of a project by the Municipal Tramways Trust to rebuild the tram line, an overpass was built in 1929.[https://trove.nla.gov.au/newspaper/article/53453606 Tramway Bridge at Goodwood] The Register 16 May 1929 page 31Glenelg century of rail transport Trolley Wire issue 147 August 1973 pages 3-7[https://web.archive.org/web/20180109100103/http://www.abc.net.au/local/photos/2009/07/04/2616320.htm Temporary Tram Track] ABC Radio Adelaide 5 July 2009 In 1978/79, the wooden deck was replaced with concrete.Goodwood Overpass Reconstruction Begins Among Ourselves issue 196 December 1978 page 12Goodwood Overpass The Recorder December 1978 page 39Goodwood Overpass The Recorder February 1979 page 75 Although the overpass crosses over Goodwood railway station, there are no interchange facilities.
