"Got a Hold on Me" is a song by Christine McVie, released as the lead single from her eponymous second solo album in 1984.

The song reached number 10 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart, and topped the Billboard Adult Contemporary and Rock Tracks charts for four and two weeks, respectively.Whitburn, Joel (2004). Critical reception

Billboard identified influences of Fleetwood Mac infused within "Got a Hold on Me".{{Cite magazine |date=11 February 1984 |title=Billboard Album Reviews: Spotlight |url=https://www.worldradiohistory.com/Archive-All-Music/Billboard/80s/1984/BB-1984-02-11.pdf|access-date=27 December 2024 |magazine=Billboard |page=70 |via=World Radio History}} Music Week was critical of the "rather ordinary" verses and said that they were "to some extent, merely a build for what follows" in the chorus, where they identified "texture changes" and the entrance of "hard-edged female vocals."{{Cite magazine |date=28 January 1984 |title=Select Singles |url=https://www.worldradiohistory.com/UK/Music-Week/1984/Music-Week-1984-01-28-I.pdf |access-date=18 June 2025 |magazine=Music Week |page=18 |via=World Radio History}} Rolling Stone called "Got a Hold on Me" a "pleasant enough" song with hit-potential.{{Cite magazine |last=Shewey |first=Don |date=15 March 1984|title=Christine McVie |url=http://www.rollingstone.com/artists/christinemcvie/albums/album/131336/review/5943519/christine_mcvie |url-status=dead |archive-date=9 October 2007 |magazine=Rolling Stone |archive-url=https://web.archive.org/web/20071009191136/http://www.rollingstone.com/artists/christinemcvie/albums/album/131336/review/5943519/christine_mcvie |access-date=26 November 2024}}
