Davidge was chosen as the original lead guitarist for Little River Band. He played on the band's first recording in 1975, a cover of The Everly Brothers song "When Will I Be Loved". Linda Ronstadt released her version of the song around the same time, and the Little River Band version was not released. Davidge left the band shortly thereafter, to be replaced by Ric Formosa.{{cite web|url=http://www.lrb.net/html/history.shtml|title=The History of Little River Band|last=Au|first=Frankie|year=2003|work=lrb.net|accessdate=17 September 2010|archive-url=https://web.archive.org/web/20110721223255/http://www.lrb.net/html/history.shtml|archive-date=21 July 2011|url-status=dead}}
