The Guam Regional Transit Authority is the only public transportation agency in the United States territory of Guam. Five lines circle the small island. Service is provided from 05:30 to 19:30 on Monday-Saturday, with no Sundays nor holiday services.{{cite web|url=http://www.visitguam.org/Runtime/PublicTransportation.aspx |title=Guam | The Official Website for Visitor Information |website=Visitguam.org |date=2016-01-01 |accessdate=2016-03-12}}
In 2011, budgetary problems nearly caused the agency to close.{{cite web|url=http://www.pacificnewscenter.com/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=14606:video-guam-regional-transit-authority-may-shut-down-without-federal-grant&catid=45:guam-news&Itemid=156 |title=Pacific News Centre |publisher=Pacific News Center |date=2011-06-03 |accessdate=2016-03-12}} However, the bureau was saved by a veterans' assistance grant, which aimed to maintain and improve transportation options for the island's large military population. It is expected that the funding will also be used to overhaul the system design.{{cite news|last=Tritten |first=Travis J. |date=10 November 2011 |title=Guam receives $1.3M in military, veteran assistance grants for public transit system |work=Stars and Stripes |url=http://www.stripes.com/news/pacific/guam/guam-receives-1-3m-in-military-veteran-assistance-grants-for-public-transit-system-1.160387 |url-status=dead |archiveurl=https://web.archive.org/web/20160304032223/http://www.stripes.com/news/pacific/guam/guam-receives-1-3m-in-military-veteran-assistance-grants-for-public-transit-system-1.160387 |archivedate=4 March 2016 |accessdate=4 September 2016 }}
