Guthrie Corridor Expressway, GCE, {{MES-E|35}} (Malay: Lebuhraya Koridor Guthrie) is an expressway in Klang Valley, Selangor, Malaysia. It connects Shah Alam to Rawang. GCE is approximately {{convert|25|km|mi|abbr=on}} ({{convert|23|km|mi|abbr=on}} long on the Prolintas sections and {{convert|2|km|mi|abbr=on}} on the PLUS Expressway sections).

Named after the corridor of estates where 80 percent of the land acquired was from the plantation company Guthrie Berhad (later merged in 2007 with two other two other companies to form Sime Darby), all project costs, including land acquisition of the expressway, were completely borne by the concessionaire. Today this expressway is owned by Prolintas and its subsidiary Prolintas Expressway Sdn Bhd.

The starting point of the highway or 'Kilometre Zero' is located at the Jalan Monfort intersection near Shah Alam.

History

Plans to build the 30 km-long expressway, named after Kumpulan Guthrie's corridor of estates in Selangor, began in late 1996. The expressway would be a way to speed up and link various developments around the corridor, including the Lagong satellite city and the Bukit Jelutong township. The construction of the expressway would cost between RM 300 million and RM 450 million and would be completed in three to four years. Kumpulan Guthrie had submitted an application to the federal government and was still negotiating with the Selangor state government.{{cite news |title=Kumpulan Guthrie begins building its 'corridor' |url=https://eresources.nlb.gov.sg/newspapers/digitised/article/straitstimes19961111-1.2.67.6?qt=rawang,%20selangor&q=rawang%20selangor |access-date=29 April 2024 |work=The Straits Times |date=11 November 1996}}

The proposal was revived in 2002 when Guthrie Berhad became a major shareholder of this project, apart from owning other businesses such as large plantations and property development projects. Construction started in 2003 and was completed in April 2005. It commenced operations in July that year.

In August 2007, GCE became a subsidiary of Prolintas Expressway Sdn Bhd, which is ultimately owned by PNB.

On 17 August 2023, a private plane carrying Pahang State Legislative Assembly member Johari Harun and seven other passengers crashed onto the highway, just outside the Elmina interchange. There were ten fatalities, including the passengers and two motorists.{{cite web |url = https://www.malaymail.com/amp/news/malaysia/2023/08/17/elmina-plane-crash-plane-made-banked-turn-before-the-crash-video/85788 |title = Elmina plane crash: Plane made banked turn before the crash (VIDEO) |last = Wong |first = Alexander |date = 17 August 2023 |website = Malay Mail |access-date = 19 August 2023 }}

There are three toll plazas along GCE, each charging the same rate. In October 2022, it was one of the four expressways maintained by PROLINTAS to have its toll rates deducted between 8% and 15%.{{cite web|url=https://www.facebook.com/prolintas/posts/pfbid0C6qN62JdfZD5Nqn12aEtBwvogUr1eaVRCUFdX5YQUbEW8i7EGsUG2Jx5MYsH8xYUl?__cft__[0]=AZWfsBBA-_wHOBZ8WHXl3vKoYu2N1TIjwq6-KZAZMsYKATx9JzCwPN-FLZNQrLD2hOBjLH6pKf-E2MMXZmVvYL6BPsKlY1nqxVSjvV61V8BLte2sMYt1Dyop3z-E-8LJH_dB0oqwzYcbdA5J4jvsK6dyMAb8VFdE6vY6DgtI27myjqQtxdQU5u-4C543f1q97eWfxeAISZThivY09U8JJbNH&__tn__=%2CO%2CP-R|title=Kadar Tol Baharu AKLEH, GCE, LKSA & SILK|accessdate=30 October 2022}}{{cite web|title=PENGURANGAN KADAR TOL|url=https://scontent.ftun7-1.fna.fbcdn.net/v/t39.30808-6/312428284_5632775623474135_2134816997030326987_n.jpg?_nc_cat=104&ccb=1-7&_nc_sid=730e14&_nc_ohc=jdC8J26pxccAX8Ob63W&_nc_ht=scontent.ftun7-1.fna&oh=00_AfDi5xkSrNSx11-7XLyiLrZdqIfCtm7XE6lzAYsWGhooEA&oe=636335F7|accessdate=30 October 2022|archive-date=30 October 2022|archive-url=https://web.archive.org/web/20221030210059/https://scontent.ftun7-1.fna.fbcdn.net/v/t39.30808-6/312428284_5632775623474135_2134816997030326987_n.jpg?_nc_cat=104&ccb=1-7&_nc_sid=730e14&_nc_ohc=jdC8J26pxccAX8Ob63W&_nc_ht=scontent.ftun7-1.fna&oh=00_AfDi5xkSrNSx11-7XLyiLrZdqIfCtm7XE6lzAYsWGhooEA&oe=636335F7|url-status=dead}}
