{{lang|is|Höfðaströnd|italic=no}} is a region on the coast around Hofsós on the eastern side of Skagafjörður, Iceland. Its southernmost farm is Gröf, and the closest to the sea is Höfði. History

There has long been a considerable amount of fishing based out of {{lang|is|Höfðaströnd|italic=no}}, both from {{lang|is|Hofsós|italic=no}} and from {{Lang|is|Bæjarkletta|italic=no}} in Bær in {{lang|is|Höfðaströnd|italic=no}},{{Cite web |last=Zoëga |first=Bryndís |year=2013 |title=Strandminjar við austanverðan Skagafjörð, 2. áfangi. |trans-title=Coastal monuments on the eastern side of Skagafjöður, Phase 2 |url=https://www.glaumbaer.is/static/files/pdf/Rannsoknarskyrslur/bsk-2013-142-strandminjar-2.pdf |access-date=2025-03-17 |website=glaumbaer.is |page=30 |language=is |format=PDF}} where there were workman's cottages. People there lived on fishing and fowling in Drangey, in addition to certain lichens. The area's general store was in {{lang|is|Hofsós|italic=no}} in {{lang|is|Höfðaströnd|italic=no}} since 1600, when Kolkuós's port facilities deteriorated dramatically, and up until the end of the 19th century, when Sauðárkrókur became {{lang|is|Skagafjörður|italic=no}}'s principal commercial area.
