Halda River

The river is navigable by big boats {{cvt|29|km}} from its mouth up to Nazir Hat, and by small boats {{convert|16|–|24|km}} further up to Narayanhat. The Halda averages {{convert|21|ft|m}} in depth and is {{convert|30|ft|m}} at its deepest point.

The Halda river is also famous for breeding pure Indian carp.{{cite web|url=http://www.haldariver.org/about%20halda.html|title=Halda River: A Natural Fish Spawning Heritage of Bangladesh}} This is the only pure Indian carp breeding field of Bangladesh, perhaps in South Asia.
