The Hassan I Dam is an embankment dam located {{Convert|19|km}} northeast of Demnate on the Lakhdar River in Azilal Province, Morocco. Completed in 1986, the dam provides water for the irrigation of over {{Convert|40000|ha}} of farmland. The dam's hydroelectric power plant also generates {{convert|132|GWh}} on average annually. At {{Convert|145|m}} in height, it is the tallest dam in Morocco and the tallest earth-fill dam in Africa.
