Haymanot Alew Engdayehu is an Ethiopian long-distance runner. He finished third at the 2024 Berlin Marathon.

Career

In 2018, Haymanot set a personal best of 42:20 over the 15 km in finishing second at the Le Puy-en-Velay 15 km.{{cite web|url=https://worldathletics.org/competition/calendar-results/results/7118207?eventId=10229504&gender=M|title=2018 Le Puy-en-Velay 15 km - Results|website=World Athletics|access-date=25 January 2025}} In June, he placed tenth over 3000 m at the Golden Spike Ostrava in 7:43.26.{{cite web|url=https://www.letsrun.com/news/2018/06/ostrava-golden-spike-results-start-lists-streaming-info/|title=Full Results 2018 Ostrava Golden Spike|website=Letsrun.com|date=13 June 2018|access-date=25 January 2025}} At the 2018 African Championships in Asaba, Haymanot placed eighth over 5000 m.
