Heidi Davison is an American politician from Georgia, U.S., and is the former mayor of Athens, Georgia. She is a member of the Democratic Party.

Background

Political career

In 2002, Davison was elected to a 4-year term as Mayor of Athens, Georgia. Mayor Davison was term-limited under the Unified Government's charter, and therefore prohibited from running for reelection in 2010. When her term expired on January 4, 2011, she was succeeded by Nancy Denson, the former Clarke County Tax Commissioner.
