Affricates

Do the sources explicitly state that {{IPA|/dz, tʃ/}} are affricates {{IPA|[d͡z, t͡ʃ]}} and not consonant clusters {{IPAblink|d}}+{{IPAblink|z}}, {{IPAblink|t}}+{{IPAblink|ʃ}}? --Mahmudmasri (talk) 19:53, 27 November 2015 (UTC)

:Mahmudmasri: The sources has identified the existence of affricates {{IPA|[d͡z, t͡ʃ]}} in Tunisian, Algerian and Moroccan Arabic and has given many important examples for it. However, consonant clusters can exist but in a few particular situations. That is why we have not considered them in this help work. Thank you very much. --Csisc (talk) 15:58, 20 January 2016 (UTC)
