Higgston is a town in Montgomery County, Georgia, United States. The population was 314 at the 2020 census.
History

Geography
Higgston is located in northeastern Montgomery County at {{coord|32|13|2|N|82|28|2|W|type:city}} (32.217330, -82.467332).{{cite web|url=https://www.census.gov/geographies/reference-files/time-series/geo/gazetteer-files.html|publisher=United States Census Bureau|accessdate=April 23, 2011|date=February 12, 2011|title=US Gazetteer files: 2010, 2000, and 1990}} U.S. Route 280 passes through the south side of town, leading west {{convert|8|mi|0}} to Mount Vernon, the county seat, and east {{convert|3|mi|0}} to Vidalia. State Routes 15 and 29 pass through the center of Higgston together as James Street and lead northwest {{convert|13|mi}} to Soperton, while State Route 135 leads south from US 280 13 miles to Uvalda.
According to the United States Census Bureau, Higgston has a total area of {{convert|3.2|sqmi|km2}}, of which {{convert|0.01|sqmi|2}}, or 0.32%, are water. Rocky Creek passes through the east side of town, flowing southeast to the Ohoopee River in Tattnall County.
