The High Rocky Point is a coastal landmark, located on the south western coast of Tasmania, Australia. The point, contained within the Southwest National Park, part of the Tasmanian Wilderness World Heritage Site, lies to the south of Point Hibbs and north of Low Rocky Point that is located approximately {{convert|20|km}} away.{{cite map |page=232 |author=Moore, Thomas Bather |author-link=Thomas Bather Moore |title=The Last Explorer }}{{cite book |author=Binks, C. J. |title=Explorers of Western Tasmania |location=Launceston |publisher=Mary Fisher Bookshop |date=1980 |isbn=0-908291-16-7 }} The Wanderer River is located to the north of the point.

It is in an isolated and generally inaccessible area, however at different times mineral finds have occurred nearby.{{cite news |url=http://nla.gov.au/nla.news-article25896549 |title=TIN AT PORT DAVEY. |newspaper=The Mercury |location=Hobart, Tasmania |date=8 September 1942 |access-date=3 March 2014 |page=5 |via=National Library of Australia}} The point is a location on the west coast walking track between Cape Sorell and Port Davey,{{cite book | author1=Chapman, John | title=South west Tasmania | publication-date=2008 | publisher=John Chapman | edition=5th | isbn=978-1-920995-03-4 |pages=180–190 }} with High Rocky Point being in an area of thick almost impassable scrub.

The area surrounding the point has recorded former aboriginal sites of historical significance.{{cite book | author1=Sims, Peter Charles | title=High Rocky Point, West Coast Tasmania, cave petroglyphs | location=Devonport |year=1971 | url=http://trove.nla.gov.au/work/33786318 | access-date=3 March 2014 }}

The name is closely related to Rocky Point and Low Rocky Point, creating some historical confusion.{{cite news |url=http://nla.gov.au/nla.news-article24693810 |title=LETTERS. |newspaper=The Mercury |location=Hobart, Tasmania |date=21 December 1932 |access-date=3 March 2014 |page=8 |via=National Library of Australia}}
