Him Academy Public School (HAPS) is a private day-cum-boarding school in Hamirpur,Himachal Pradesh. Founded on 1st May 1998 by the visionary educationist Prof. R.C. Lakhanpal.
Him Academy Public School Vikas Nagar is located in Shivalik Hills. The students of Him Academy Public School are known as Hapsians.
History
Prof. R.C. Lakhanpal sought voluntary retirement in 1993 from professorship to set up HIM ACADEMY Coaching institute. Starting with this institute Prof. R.C. Lakhanpal later envisioned to establish a school to cater to the educational needs of the people of Himachal Pradesh and other states. Finally, Him Academy Public School was established on 1st May, 1998. Its Co founder Mrs. C.P. Lakhanpal also sought voluntary retirement in 1999 to take over as Principal.
