The role eventually went to Rufa Mae Quinto, as suggested by Bong Revilla.{{cite web|url=https://www.philstar.com/pilipino-star-ngayon/showbiz/2002/10/23/181050/bong-inirekomenda-si-rufa-mae-kay-daboy|last=Samio|first=Veronica|title=Bong inirekomenda si Rufa Mae kay Daboy|website=The Philippine Star|date=October 23, 2002|access-date=October 12, 2022}}
