Production

The design was built by Hunter Marine in the United States, but it is now out of production.

Design

The Hunter 36 Legend is a recreational keelboat, built predominantly of fiberglass.

The design has a fractional sloop B&R rig, a nearly-plumb stem, a walk-through reverse transom, an internally-mounted spade-type rudder controlled by a wheel and a fixed fin keel or wing keel. It displaces {{convert|14330|lb|kg|0|abbr=on}} and carries {{convert|5132|lb|kg|0|abbr=on}} of ballast.

The boat has a draft of {{convert|6.82|ft|m|abbr=on}} with the standard keel and {{convert|5.00|ft|m|abbr=on}} with the optional shoal draft winged keel.

The boat is fitted with an inboard engine. The fuel tank holds {{convert|37|u.s.gal}} and the fresh water tank has a capacity of {{convert|75|u.s.gal}}.
