Huxley is a city in Story County, Iowa, United States. History

The population density was 1,293.1 inhabitants per square mile (499.3/km2). There were 1,599 housing units at an average density of 487.2 per square mile (188.1/km2). The racial makeup of the city was 93.1% White, 1.2% Black or African American, 0.4% Native American, 0.5% Asian, 0.0% Pacific Islander, 0.8% from other races and 3.9% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino persons of any race comprised 2.5% of the population.
Of the 1,513 households, 42.8% of which had children under the age of 18 living with them, 62.8% were married couples living together, 6.7% were cohabitating couples, 17.7% had a female householder with no spouse or partner present and 12.8% had a male householder with no spouse or partner present. 26.4% of all households were non-families. 19.0% of all households were made up of individuals, 6.3% had someone living alone who was 65 years old or older.
The median age in the city was 32.9 years. 33.6% of the residents were under the age of 20; 5.9% were between the ages of 20 and 24; 28.4% were from 25 and 44; 21.4% were from 45 and 64; and 10.7% were 65 years of age or older. The gender makeup of the city was 50.0% male and 50.0% female.

The population density was {{convert|1053.0|PD/sqmi|PD/km2|1}}. There were 1,322 housing units at an average density of {{convert|419.7|/sqmi|/km2|1}}. The racial makeup of the city was 95.6% White, 1.0% African American, 0.2% Native American, 0.5% Asian, 1.1% from other races, and 1.7% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 2.2% of the population.

The average household size was 2.78 and the average family size was 3.25.

The population density was {{convert|2,042.9|PD/sqmi|PD/km2|sp=us|adj=off}}. There were 964 housing units at an average density of {{convert|850.3|/sqmi|/km2|sp=us|adj=off}}. The racial makeup of the city was 97.41% White, 0.22% African American, 0.30% Native American, 0.56% Asian, 0.65% from other races, and 0.86% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 1.30% of the population.
There were 917 households, out of which 36.8% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 55.1% were married couples living together, 9.3% had a female householder with no husband present, and 31.1% were non-families. 23.8% of all households were made up of individuals, and 8.0% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.50 and the average family size was 3.00.
