Hyborian Gates is an out-of-print collectible card game by Cardz.

Publication history

It was first released in July 1995.{{Citation |last=Miller |first=John Jackson |title=Scrye Collectible Card Game Checklist & Price Guide, Second Edition | year=2003 |pages=233–234 |postscript=.}} It featured art from Boris Vallejo and Julie Bell.{{cite magazine|title=Card collector confidential|issue=6|magazine=Scrye|pages=12–22|date=April–May 1995}}{{rp|12}} A total of 450 cards were released in the core set and an additional 10 promo cards were also released.{{cite web|url=http://www.nslists.com/hyborian.htm|title=Hyborian Gates Collectible Card Game - Cardz - 1995|website=nslists.com|accessdate=2017-12-24}} Starter decks were said to contain 55 cards, but only contained 50 and booster packs had 15 cards.{{citation |last1=Brown |first1=Timothy |last2=Lee |first2=Tony |title=Official Price Guide to Collectible Card Games |year=1999 |pages=166–170 |postscript=.}} An expansion called Gatemasters was scheduled for a 1996 release but never materialized.

Reception
