Hyper 3-D Pinball is a pinball simulation video game developed by British studio NMS Software and published by Virgin Interactive Entertainment for DOS, PlayStation, and Sega Saturn. The game offers six distinct pinball tables, each with unique themes.

Gameplay

Hyper 3-D Pinball features several photorealistic tables. Up to four players can choose between multiple viewing perspectives, including a top-down 2D view and a 3D full-table view.{{Cite web |last=Megnetto |date=2003-06-26 |title=Hyper 3-D Pinball Review |url=https://gamefaqs.gamespot.com/saturn/197599-hyper-3-d-pinball/reviews/56309 |url-status=live |archive-url=https://web.archive.org/web/20190320040010/https://gamefaqs.gamespot.com/saturn/197599-hyper-3-d-pinball/reviews/56309 |archive-date=2019-03-20 |access-date=2025-03-01 |website=GameFaQs}}

There are six uniquely themed tables: Fun Fair, Star Quest 2049, The Gangster, The Monster, Road King USA, and Myst & Majik. Each table presents differing difficulties and events.{{Cite web |title=Hyper 3-D Pinball (Saturn) review |url=https://www.honestgamers.com/2944/saturn/hyper-3d-pinball/review.html |url-status=live |archive-url=https://web.archive.org/web/20241228045215/http://www.honestgamers.com/2944/saturn/hyper-3d-pinball/review.html |archive-date=2024-12-28 |access-date=2025-03-01 |website=honestgamers.com}}

The game emulates authentic pinball mechanics, including responsive flippers, bumpers, and the ability to nudge or “tilt” the table to influence ball trajectory.

Multiple languages can be selected for the game’s menus and text including English, Dutch, and French.

Next Generation gave the PC version of the game four stars out of five; although generally commending the title, they noticed that some elements are missing, such as control of tilt sensitivity, number of balls, and table angles.{{cite magazine|title=Finals|magazine=Next Generation|issue=18|publisher=Imagine Media|date=June 1996|pages=122, 125}} In 1998, Saturn Power ranked the game 94th on their Top 100 Sega Saturn Games saying the game is worth a few tries.{{Cite journal |date=January 1998 |title=Top 100 Sega Saturn Games |url=https://retrocdn.net/images/7/70/SaturnPower_UK_09.pdf |journal=Saturn Power |issue=9 |pages=95}}
