IC 1295 is a planetary nebula in the constellation Scutum. It was discovered in 1867 by Truman Safford.{{cite web|url=http://cseligman.com/text/atlas/ic12a.htm#ic1295|title=New General Catalogue objects: NGC 1250 - 1299|author=Seligman, Courtney|website=cseligman.com|accessdate=27 September 2019}} It lies roughly 4,700 light-years (1,500 parsecs) away.{{cite DR2}}
The central star of the planetary nebula has a spectral type of DAO.56 and shows the hydrogen deficient class object as hgO(H).{{cite journal|doi=10.1051/0004-6361/202141916|title=Planetary nebulae in Gaia EDR3: Central star identification, properties, and binarity|year=2021|last1=González-Santamaría|first1=I.|last2=Manteiga|first2=M.|last3=Manchado|first3=A.|last4=Ulla|first4=A.|last5=Dafonte|first5=C.|last6=López Varela|first6=P.|journal=Astronomy & Astrophysics|volume=656|pages=A51|arxiv=2109.12114|bibcode=2021A&A...656A..51G|s2cid=237940344}}
