Ian Maxwell Britza (born 7 May 1954) is an Australian politician. He was a Liberal Party member of the Western Australian Legislative Assembly from 2008 to 2017, representing Morley. He won the seat, despite its notional Labor margin, partly due to the preference flow from Independent candidate John D'Orazio.{{cite web| title = Mr Ian Maxwell Britza MLA| website = Parliament.wa.gov.au| date = 2009| url =http://www.parliament.wa.gov.au/Parliament%5CMemblist.nsf/WAllMembersFlat/Britza,+Ian+Maxwell?opendocument|accessdate = 9 April 2013}}
During the 2008–09 holiday season and again in 2011–12 Britza travelled to Texas on Parliamentary Accredited Finance to provide him with an "in-depth knowledge and understanding of policy matters" and a detailed report was given to Parliament as is required. He was accused of using public funds to pay for his wife and children to go to Texas to spend time with their mother and grandmother, but he used personal finances to do this.{{cite web|url=http://au.news.yahoo.com/thewest/a/-/breaking/14512013/mp-under-fire-over-christmas-texas-trips/|title=The West Australian|website=The West|accessdate=4 December 2017}}{{cite web|url=http://www.abc.net.au/news/2012-08-09/mp-defendes-tax-payer-funded-trip/4188846|title=Morley MP defends tax payer funded trip to Texas|date=9 August 2012|website=Abc.net.au|accessdate=4 December 2017}}
Britza is a Christian, and was deemed one of "God's squad" in WA Parliament for his eagerness to mention his religion publicly.Dr. Martin Drum, [http://www.nobleworld.biz/images/Drum.pdf Is faith a "no go area" in modern politics?
