Ignaz von Peczely (26 January 1826 – 14 July 1911) was a Hungarian scientist, physician, and{{sfn|Carroll|2003|p=183–184}}{{sfn|Karpov|Chmielewska|2008|p=6}}{{r|Cudnova}} homeopath, considered the father of modern iridology.{{sfn|Jensen|V.
