Iko were an English rock band from Exeter, Devon, England.{{Cite web|url=https://www.bbc.co.uk/devon/content/articles/2006/04/19/iko_feature.shtml|title=Laura Joint on BBC Devon: Devon band aiming high|publisher=BBC|accessdate=2020-05-29}} Formed in 2005 the band consists of Kieran Scragg (lead vocals and guitar), Neil Reed (keyboards), Rob Maxwell (drums), Darren Harvey-Regan (bass guitar), and Beth Porter (cello).

Scragg and Reed had been members of the just disbanded indie-rock band Buffseeds signed to Fantastic Plastic Records.Buffseeds had the track "Sparkle Me" from their debut album The Pricture Show placed in ABC's Grey's Anatomy, in Season 1 episode 5 ("Shake Your Groove Thing"). The song also featured in One Tree Hill, Season 2 Episode 8 "Truth, Bitter Truth" and the French movie Pièce Toupée (2010)
