Summary
Gladkova Street, Dnepropetrovsk.
Apartments in these buildings have two main rooms, plus a kitchen and a bathroom. Many, but not all, apartments have double front doors. Mail is left in pigeon-holes on the stair-well wall. Visitors are advised to bring a mobile phone, since apartment buildings have a combination lock on the street entrance, and do not have a bell or intercom on the street entrance. The buildings do not have lifts [elevators in US-English]. Many of the people who live in such apartment buildings would be considered middle-class by English standards.
The wooded area in the foreground includes a large children's play area. All residential areas have small food shops.
One confusing this is the numbering of apartment buildings, which does not follow the Western pattern. Often the easiest way to find particular numbered apartments is to look at the street map. [http://www.citymap.dp.ua/ Streetmap of Dnipropetrovsk] {{in lang|ru}}
