Reception
Impregnated With Wonder was met with positive reviews upon its release. The A.V. Club named it the 5th-best album of 2011, saying: "Impregnated With Wonder has plenty of gratuitously silly moments, each highlighting Holmes' over-the-top sense of humor."{{cite news|title=The best comedy albums of 2011|url=http://www.avclub.com/article/the-best-comedy-albums-of-2011-66251/|access-date=10 August 2014|newspaper=The A.V. Club|date=8 December 2011}} LaughSpin said, "This album may very well be one of the most quotable comedy albums of 2011. The end result is the portrait of a comedian embracing a component of comedy that may seem obvious in having fun."{{cite news|last=Kroeger|first=Jack|title=Pete Holmes: "Impregnated With Wonder" (Review)|url=http://www.laughspin.com/2011/11/19/pete-holmes-impregnated-with-wonder-review/|access-date=10 August 2014|newspaper=LaughSpin|date=2011-11-19|archive-url=https://web.archive.org/web/20130929030400/http://www.laughspin.com/2011/11/19/pete-holmes-impregnated-with-wonder-review/|archive-date=29 September 2013|url-status=usurped}} The Laugh Button reviewed the album by stating: "From the moment Impregnated With Wonder begins and without even having a visual, you can tell Holmes is all smiles, with his cherub-like “fat Val Kilmer” looks. It's a must-own record for anyone serious about comedy."{{cite news|author=Matt|title=Review: Pete Holmes "Impregnated With Wonder"|url=http://thelaughbutton.com/albums/review-pete-holmes-impregnated/|access-date=10 August 2014|newspaper=The Laugh Button|date=2011-11-18}}
