Ingar Solty (born April 14, 1979) is a German political writer and journalist focusing on marxism, socialism and the left. He received his PhD from York University in Toronto, Canada.{{Citation needed|date=February 2021}}

Solty is a Senior Research Fellow in Foreign, Peace and Security Policy at the Rosa Luxemburg Foundation’s Institute for Critical Social Analysis in Berlin.{{cite web |title=Ingar Solty, Author at Socialist Project |url=https://socialistproject.ca/author/ingar-solty/ |website=socialistproject.ca |publisher=Socialist Project}} He founded the North Atlantic Left Dialogue, an annual summit of left-wing intellectuals, also organized by the Rosalux.{{cite book |last1=Gill |first1=Stephen |title=Global Crises and the Crisis of Global Leadership |date=October 20, 2011 |publisher=Cambridge University |isbn=978-1139503648 |page=XI, "List of contributors"}} He is also the social movements and politics editor in the German periodical Das Argument.
