Inny Junction was a former station on the Dublin-Sligo railway line. It opened in 1869 and closed in 1941.{{cite web | title=Inny Junction station | work=Railscot - Irish Railways | url=http://www.railscot.co.uk/Ireland/Irish_railways.pdf | accessdate=11 July 2011 | archive-date=26 September 2007 | archive-url=https://web.archive.org/web/20070926042407/http://www.railscot.co.uk/Ireland/Irish_railways.pdf | url-status=live }}

For the last decade it solely served as a staff halt. The MGWR branch to Cavan, which closed in 1960, diverged here. The station was located in a very isolated rural location.{{cite web| url = http://eiretrains.com/Photo_Gallery/Railway%20Stations%20I/Inny%20Junction/IrishRailwayStations.html| title = Inny Junction| access-date = 10 July 2011| archive-date = 15 March 2012| archive-url = https://web.archive.org/web/20120315233313/http://eiretrains.com/Photo_Gallery/Railway%20Stations%20I/Inny%20Junction/IrishRailwayStations.html| url-status = dead}}
