The Federación Internacional de Pádel (FIP) (English: International Padel Federation) is the global governing body for the fast-growing sport of padel. Founded in 1991 in Madrid by representatives from the Argentinian, Spanish, and Uruguayan Padel Federations, the FIP is a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting padel worldwide.{{Cite web |title=About International Padel Federation |url=https://www.padelfip.com/about/ |access-date=2024-05-09 |website=Padel FIP |language=en-US}}

One of its key responsibilities is organizing the prestigious Padel World Championship for both male and female players. The FIP has recently taken a more prominent role in the professional padel circuit.

In 2022, the FIP entered into a strategic partnership with Qatar Sports Investments (QSI), a Qatari investment fund known for its ownership of Paris Saint-Germain football club.{{Cite web |last=Rutzler |first=Peter |title=PSG owners sell minority stake to U.S. investment firm Arctos |url=https://www.nytimes.com/athletic/5120171/2023/12/07/psg-us-investment-takeover/ |access-date=2024-05-09 |website=The Athletic |language=en}} This collaboration aimed to launch a new professional circuit called Premier Padel, governed by the FIP.{{Cite web |last=admin |date=2022-02-01 |title=FIP announces partnership with QSI |url=https://www.qsi.com.qa/qsi-fip-jv-original-padel-announcement/ |access-date=2024-05-09 |website=Qatar Sports Investments |language=en-US}}

Following this partnership, QSI acquired the World Padel Tour (WPT) in 2023.{{Cite web |title=BREAKING: Historic agreement between Premier Padel and World Padel Tour |url=https://padelalto.com/2023/08/24/official-historic-agreement-between-premier-padel-and-world-padel-tour |access-date=2024-05-09 |website=Padel Alto |language=en}} Consequently, the WPT will no longer exist as a separate entity, and its players and tournaments will be integrated into the unified Premier Padel circuit overseen by the FIP.{{Cite web |last=Dixon |first=Ed |date=2023-08-25 |title=QSI reaches deal to acquire Damm-owned World Padel Tour |url=https://www.sportspromedia.com/news/premier-padel-world-padel-tour-qsi-damm-merger-fip/ |access-date=2024-05-09 |website=SportsPro |language=en-GB}}

In 2024, Premier Padel announced that it had entered into a title sponsorship agreement with Qatar Airways renaming the tour after the world's number 1 airline in a multi-year deal. In addition to being the title sponsor, award-winning Qatar Airways will also be title sponsor of the tour finals in Barcelona and is the tour's official airline partner to seamlessly connect fans and athletes on its network through the award-winning Hamad International Airport.{{Cite web |title=PREMIER PADEL ANNOUNCES MULTI-YEAR PARTNERSHIP WITH QATAR AIRWAYS |url=https://premierpadel.com/en/news/premier-padel-announces-multi-year-partnership-with-qatar-airways-2 |access-date= |website=Premier Padel}} The circuit also entered into a sponsorship agreement with leading IT company NTT Data which will provide the sport with advanced analytics and real-time data as its official partner.{{Cite web |title=NTT DATA and Premier Padel join forces to elevate the fan experience globally |url=https://benelux.nttdata.com/newsfolder/2024/ntt-data-and-premier-padel-join-forces |website=NTT Data}} Premier Padel's official betting partner with a multi-year agreement is the Swedish international betting firm Betsson.{{Cite web |last=Orme-Claye |first=Ted |date=2024-08-30 |title=Bettson’s Premier Padel deal highlights diverse sponsorship |url=https://insidersport.com/2024/08/30/betssons-premier-padel-deal-highlights-benefits-of-diverse-sponsorship-approach/ |access-date=2025-01-20 |language=en-US}}
