History
J-POP SUMMIT first took place as the opening ceremony of the New People building at Japan Town in San Francisco in 2009, and has since become an annual festival of Japanese pop culture, including anime, manga, food, sake, games, fashion, films, and music. In recent years, the festival has added sections related to tech innovations and travel. The event provides an opportunity for Japanese companies to expand their business to the U.S. market.{{Cite web | url = http://www.sfstation.com/j-pop-summit-e1003521 | title = J-Pop Summit - San Francisco, CA at Festival Pavilion | website = SF Station | access-date = 2016-03-01 }} {{verify source |date=September 2023 |reason=This ref was deleted Special:Diff/788875176 by a bug in VisualEditor and later restored by a bot from the original cite located at Special:Permalink/788874657 cite #4 - verify the cite is accurate and delete this template.
