=Heatwave in Karachi=
Dead bodies that cannot be spaced in other hospitals/cold-storage houses for hygienic storage due to the 2015 Pakistani heat wave emergency situation, JDC established a temporary cold storage at Numaish Chowrangi until arrangements for burial were made. The increase in sudden deaths the metropolitan Karachi faced led to the scarcity of gravesites for the burial of the dead, causing an abnormal hike in price. Thus JDC Foundation decided to help with cash for burial arrangements to overcome the huge burden of booking a grave in Karachi’s graveyards and funeral on time.{{cite web|author= |url=http://www.dailytimes.com.pk/sindh/27-Jun-2015/after-more-than-1-100-deaths-people-raise-their-hands-in-prayer-for-rain |title= After more than 1,100 deaths, people raise their hands in prayer for rain |publisher= Daily Times Pakistan|date= June 27, 2015 |accessdate=June 28, 2015}}{{cite web|author=Staff Reporter |url= http://www.jehanpakistan.com/epaper/epaper.php?edition=karachi&date=250615 |title=Temporary Cold storage for dead bodies established to overcome storage problem |publisher= Daily Jahan-e-Pakistan (Urdu|date= June 25, 2015 |accessdate=June 28, 2015}} page-8

The idea of charity work went viral through social media and people from different countries e.g. India, China, Turkey etc. followed the method of helping needy people in different places. In Pakistan, JDC 2016 introduced the concept of “Diwar-e-Mehrbani” (Wall of Kindness) and “Bazaar-e-Mehrbani” (Market of Kindness), which was conducted at Expo Centre Karachi. Under the Wall of Kindness initiative, new and usable cloths are hung on the wall at a selected place to carry away and use of needy people.{{cite web |author=Asad |first=Fatima |date=March 20, 2016 |title=No end to kindness: from Diwar-e-Mehrbani to Bazaar-e-Mehrbani |url=http://www.pakistantoday.com.pk/2016/03/20/national/no-end-to-kindness-from-diwar-e-mehrbani-to-bazaar-e-mehrbani/ |accessdate=July 10, 2016 |website=Pakistan Today |publisher=}}{{Cite web |date=2016-04-06 |title=Market of Kindness |url=https://nation.com.pk/07-Apr-2016/market-of-kindness |access-date=2022-12-24 |website=The Nation |language=en}}
