Jacob Gerritszoon{{efn|Abbreviated Gerritsz.}} Loef (1605/1607 – 1683/1685), was a Dutch Golden Age marine painter.[http://145.100.59.185/ecartico/persons/4690 Jacob Gerritsz. Loef] at the University of Amsterdam's Ecartico website

He was born and died in Enkhuizen and worked there and in nearby Hoorn. According to the RKD he is known for his marines and Gerrit Pompe was his pupil.[https://rkd.nl/en/explore/artists/50576 Jacob Gerritz. Loef] in the RKD He signed his works with the monogram IGL.
