James Charles Hamon (born 1 July 1995) is a Guernsey-born footballer who plays as a goalkeeper for {{English football updater|TorquayU}} club Torquay United. He had previously played in the Football League for Exeter City.

Career

Born in Guernsey, Hamon was fast-tracked from Guernsey FA's youth setup to St. Martins, where he made his first-team debuts in 2011, aged only 16; he subsequently moved to Guernsey in the summer, but was mainly a backup to veteran Chris Tardif.{{cite web|url=https://www.bbc.com/sport/0/football/28260462|title=Exeter City's James Hamon credits Guernsey FC for pro chance|publisher=BBC Sport|date=11 July 2014|accessdate=22 November 2014}} He previously had trials at Southampton.{{cite web|url=http://guernseypress.com/news/2010/07/24/southampton-invite-hamon-to-more-trials/|title=Southampton invite Hamon to more trials|publisher=Guernsey Press|date=24 July 2010|accessdate=22 November 2014}}

Hamon was invited to a trial at Exeter City in April 2013,{{cite web|url=http://guernseypress.com/sport/2013/04/13/grecian-hamon/|title=Grecian Hamon|publisher=Guernsey Press|date=13 April 2013|accessdate=22 November 2014}} signing a deal with the club in September, being assigned number 33. Hamon played his first match as a professional on 7 October, starting in a 1–3 away loss against Coventry City, for the season's Football League Trophy.
