Career

Born in Howwood,Frost, p. 401 McCloy joined St Mirren from Clyde in October 1933; he made 148 appearances for the Paisley club,{{cite web|url=http://www.stmirren.info/id223.html|title=Player profiles Mc|accessdate=3 December 2018|publisher=StMirren.info|archive-date=17 July 2018|archive-url=https://web.archive.org/web/20180717153956/http://www.stmirren.info/id223.html|url-status=dead}} and played in the 1934 Scottish Cup Final for them. He later worked as a fireman.
