History
Minneapolis-based Jamf Software was founded in Eau Claire, Wisconsin, by Zach Halmstad, Christopher Thon and Chip Pearson{{cite web|url=https://www.forbes.com/sites/karstenstrauss/2014/11/05/no-money-no-problem-bootstrapping-off-of-apple/#427d43318763|title=No Money, No Problem Bootstrapping Off Of Apple|date=November 24, 2014|work=Forbes|accessdate=July 10, 2019}} and in 2002 released The Casper Suite. The company name came from Laszlo Jamf, a character in Thomas Pynchon's novel Gravity's Rainbow.
