Jarlín Emmanuel García (born January 18, 1993), nicknamed the Elephant,{{Cite web|url=https://www.mlb.com/player/jarlin-garcia-606424|title=Jarlín García Stats, Fantasy & News|website=MLB.com}} is a Dominican professional baseball pitcher who is a free agent. García signed as a free agent with the Miami Marlins in 2010. He made his Major League Baseball (MLB) debut in 2017 with the Marlins and has also played for the San Francisco Giants

Early life

Growing up in Pedro Brand in the Dominican Republic, García played soccer, not trying baseball until he was 15 years old. García signed as a free agent with the Miami Marlins in August 2010, receiving a $40,000 signing bonus. García began the 2016 season with Jacksonville. =Miami Marlins (2017–19)=

He pitched to a 1–2 win–loss record with a 4.73 ERA in {{frac|53|1|3}} innings. He was named the Marlins Rookie of the Year.

In 2018, García made the Marlins' Opening Day roster as a relief pitcher. In 2019 with the Marlins he was 4–2 with a 3.02 ERA in 53 relief appearances covering 50.2 innings. García was designated for assignment by the Marlins on February 10, 2020.

=San Francisco Giants (2020–2022)=

In the 2021 regular season, García was 6–3 with one save and a 2.63 ERA.
