=Sheffield United=

Following his various loan spells in France, Calvé arrived at Bramall Lane on trial in July 2010.{{cite news| title = Sheffield United seek new players| url = http://www.thestar.co.uk/sportheadlines/Sheffield-United-seek-new-players.6443338.jp| publisher =The Sheffield Star| date = 28 July 2010| accessdate = 30 August 2010}} Having played one pre-season game, then Blades boss Kevin Blackwell opted not to sign him. However, following Blackwell's departure a few weeks later, incoming boss Gary Speed quickly revived the move and Calvé signed a one-year loan deal with the Yorkshire club{{cite news|title=Calve signs in |url=http://www.sufc.co.uk/page/NewsDetail/0,,10418~2132372,00.html |publisher=Sheffield United F.C. |date=23 August 2010 |accessdate=30 August 2010 |url-status=dead |archive-url=https://web.archive.org/web/20100827133942/http://www.sufc.co.uk/page/NewsDetail/0%2C%2C10418~2132372%2C00.html |archive-date=27 August 2010 }} and suggested a desire to remain with Sheffield United following the completion of his loan spell.{{Cite news | title = Jean ready for Blades bow | newspaper = The Blade – Matchday Magazine | pages = 6 | date = 28 August 2010 }}

Calvé scored his first ever career goal in his début game for the Blades against Preston North End at the end of August, smashing a 35-yard shot into the top corner.{{cite news| title = Calve cracker and full Speed ahead| url = http://www.thestar.co.uk/sport/sheffield-united/Calve-cracker-and-full-Speed.6501743.jp| archive-url = https://archive.today/20130707060818/http://www.thestar.co.uk/sport/sheffield-united/Calve-cracker-and-full-Speed.6501743.jp| url-status = dead| archive-date = 7 July 2013| publisher = The Sheffield Star| date = 30 August 2010| accessdate = 30 August 2010}} Despite an impressive start to his Blades career Calvé failed to cement himself in the first team, making only eighteen appearances that season. With the arrival of yet another new manager, Micky Adams, he was deemed surplus to requirements and was eventually released from his contract at the start of April 2011.{{cite news|title=Trio leave Lane |url=http://www.sufc.co.uk/page/NewsDetail/0,,10418~2333166,00.html |publisher=Sheffield United F.C. |date=7 April 2011 |accessdate=8 April 2011 |url-status=dead |archive-url=https://web.archive.org/web/20110414132133/http://www.sufc.co.uk/page/NewsDetail/0%2C%2C10418~2333166%2C00.html |archive-date=14 April 2011 }}
