Captain Jeremiah Zachariah Brown (November 7, 1839 – February 19, 1916){{Cite web|url=http://valor.militarytimes.com/recipient.php?recipientid=1669|title = Jeremiah Brown - Recipient -}} was a Union soldier who fought in the American Civil War with the 148th Pennsylvania Infantry.{{Cite web|url=http://www.cmohs.org/recipient-detail/163/brown-jeremiah-z.php|title = Jeremiah Z Brown | U.S. Civil War | U.S. Army | Medal of Honor Recipient}} He was one of four members of the regiment to receive the Medal of Honor, the United States' the highest award for bravery during combat.{{Citation needed|date=February 2024}}
