Jerry Palmer is a retired automotive designer.

Career

Palmer graduated from the College for Creative Studies in 1966, and immediately started working for General Motors' design studios.{{cite web|url=https://www.collegeforcreativestudies.edu/alumni/2291/jerry-palmer|title=Jerry Palmer|publisher=College for Creative Studies}} He was appointed chief designer at Chevrolet III Studio in 1974,{{cite web|last=Patton|first=Phil|title=The Shape of Ford's Success |url=https://www.nytimes.com/1987/05/24/magazine/the-shape-of-ford-s-success.html?pagewanted=all|access-date=21 September 2016}} later being promoted to GM's Advance Design division in 1986, director of the Thousand Oaks Advance Concept Centre in 1990, and finally executive director of design.
