On March 14, 2011, a video compilation was uploaded to YouTube, showing clips of Heiman's various appearances. Within days of the video being online, the video had over 2 million views. This made him an Internet sensation, and a minor celebrity.

In 2013, Heiman appeared in GoDaddy's Super Bowl XLVII commercial with Bar Refaeli and Danica Patrick, in which Refaeli, a supermodel, and Heiman share a graphic French kiss.{{cite web |url= https://www.businessinsider.com/meet-jesse-heiman-he-makes-out-with-bar-refaeli-in-go-daddys-super-bowl-ad-2013-2 |title=Jesse Heiman Shares How He Got To Make Out With Bar Refaeli In Front Of 111 Million People Super Bowl Sunday |publisher=Business Insider |date=February 1, 2013 |author=Laura Stampler |access-date=February 9, 2021}} Following the response to GoDaddy's Super Bowl XLVII commercial, Los Angeles based porn company Assence Films extended an offer to Heiman to appear in an adult film of his choosing. Despite his age, he still portrays teenagers and young adults as an extra.{{Cite news|url=http://www.cracked.com/article_20356_5-recurring-movie-extras-you-wont-believe-you-never-noticed.html|title=5 Recurring Movie Extras You Won't Believe You Never Noticed|work=Cracked.com|access-date=2017-11-01}}
