Jessica 6 is the electronic pop performing alias of Nomi Ruiz which began as a Brooklyn-based Nu-disco and R&B trio that formed after helping put together the Hercules and Love Affair live show. Formerly known as Deep Red,{{cite web|title=Deep Red is now Jessica 6 + The Berg Sans Nipple is touring|url=http://www.brooklynvegan.com/archives/2009/05/deep_red_is_now.html|publisher=Brooklyn Vegan|access-date=15 June 2011|date=11 May 2009}} their name was taken from the lead character of the same name from the 1967 novel Logan's Run.

History
