James Katsuhide Asato (July 18, 1927 – May 11, 2022) was an American football and baseball coach.{{cite news|title=Jimmy Asato to Enroll at Hawaii U.|page=15|newspaper=Honolulu Star-Bulletin|date=August 2, 1948|url=https://www.newspapers.com/clip/53675622/honolulu-star-bulletin/|accessdate=June 18, 2020}} He served as the head coach at the University of Hawaii from 1962 to 1964.
