Joseph William Gillingham (born 27 February 1974) is a South African former rugby union player who played as a centre, wing or full-back.{{Cite web|url=http://www.espnscrum.com/southafrica/rugby/player/12619.html|title=Joe Gillingham|website=ESPN scrum|access-date=3 January 2021}}
Playing career
Gillingham represented {{rut|Transvaal}} at the 1992 Craven Week tournament for schoolboys and was selected for the South African Schools team in 1992. He made his provincial debut for {{Rut|Transvaal}} in 1994 and played for the South African under–21 and the under–23 teams. In 1998 he joined {{rut|Natal}}, playing provincial rugby for the union and super rugby for the Coastal Sharks.{{Cite book|title=Who's who of South African rugby 2000|last=Schoeman|first=Chris|date=2000|publisher=Who's Who of SA Rugby|isbn=0620261889|edition= 5th|location=Cape Town|pages=163|oclc=56517006}} At the end of the 1996 season, he toured with the Springboks to Argentina and Europe.
