Johann Georg Schürer
Johann Georg (Adam) Schürer ({{circa|1720}} – 16 February 1786) was a German baroque composer. He worked as a church composer in Dresden for most of his life.
Biography
Schürer was born in Roudnice nad Labem.{{cite Grove |last1 = Härtwig |first1 = Dieter |date = 2001 |title = Schürer, Johann Georg |url=https://doi.org/10.1093/gmo/9781561592630.article.25161 |url-access=subscription}} From 1746, he worked in Dresden.{{cite ADB|33|83|83|Schürer, Johann Georg|Eitner, Robert|ADB:Schürer, Johann Georg}} He composed five operas before 1748, when he was appointed a church composer. He retired in 1780 and died on 16 February 1786 in Dresden.
