John Mersereau (1898–1989) was an American novelist.{{Cite web|url=http://mysteryfile.com/blog/?p=33060|title=» Reviewed by William F. Deeck: JOHN MERSEREAU – Murder Loves Company.}} Several of his stories were made into films. His novels include The Corpse Comes Ashore, Murder Loves Company, and Whispering Canyon.
