Jonathan "Jon" Ekerold (born 8 October 1946) is a South African former professional motorcycle racer. He competed in the Grand Prix motorcycle racing world championships from {{MGP|1975}} to {{MGP|1983}}
Born in Johannesburg, South Africa, Ekerold is one of the few racers in the modern era to have won a road racing world championship as a privateer without the benefit of a motorcycle manufacturer's support when he defeated Kawasaki factory racing team rider Anton Mang for the 1980 350cc Grand Prix road racing world championship.{{cite web |url=http://www.motogp.com/en/riders/profiles/Jonnie+Ekerold |title=Jon Ekerold career statistics |publisher=motogp.com |access-date=15 June 2011 |archive-date=2 January 2016 |archive-url=https://web.archive.org/web/20160102080919/http://www.motogp.com/en/riders/jonnie+ekerold |url-status=dead }} Ekerold rode a self-modified Yamaha TZ350 engine in a Bimota chassis during his championship season.
