Jordan James Sinnott (14 February 1994 – 25 January 2020) was an English footballer who played as a midfielder. He was the son of the former Huddersfield Town captain Lee Sinnott{{cite news |url=http://www.examiner.co.uk/sport/football/news/huddersfield-town-midfielder-jordan-sinnott-5674222|title=Huddersfield Town midfielder Jordan Sinnott joins Bury on youth loan|first=Mel|last=Booth|newspaper=Huddersfield Daily Examiner|date=7 August 2014|accessdate=30 August 2014}} and was contracted to Northern Premier League side Matlock Town at the time of his death in January 2020. He died following an altercation in Retford town centre where he was attacked.

Career

Death

In July 2020, two men, Kai Denovan and Cameron Matthews, were jailed for manslaughter for their part in the "violent, drunken attack" that killed Sinnott. Sinnott was engaged to Kelly Bossons. Following Sinnott's funeral, Bossons discovered she was pregnant with Sinnott's child.
