The KAB-500Kr{{Cite web|url=https://www.globalsecurity.org/military/world/russia/kab-500.htm|title = KAB-500 (1500) family - Russian Bombs}}{{cite web|title=KAB-500Kr "drop-and-forget" guided bomb|website=Rosoboronexport|url=http://roe.ru/eng/catalog/aerospace-systems/air-bombs/kab-500kr/}} (Correctable air bomb - 500 kg) is an electro-optical TV-guided fire and forget bomb developed by the Soviet Air Force in the 1980s. It remains in service with the CIS and various export customers.

The seeker employs a gimballed daylight television imaging sensor under a wide angle glass dome. Unlike the earlier US GBU-8 HOBOS and AGM-65 Maverick which employed contrast lock technology, the -Kr series guidance system employs Scene Matching Area Correlation technology more akin to the US Navy DAMASK seeker or Tomahawk DSMAC. This results in the ability to attack low contrast targets by exploiting the contrast of nearby terrain features or objects.

The bomb is 305 cm (10 ft) long and weighs {{convert|520|kg|lb|abbr=on}}, of which {{convert|380|kg|lb|abbr=on}} is a hardened, armor-piercing warhead capable of penetrating up to 1.5 metres (5 ft) of reinforced concrete. The weapon's seeker can lock onto a target at ranges of up to {{convert|15|to|17|km|mi|abbr=on}}, depending on visibility. The KAB-500-OD{{cite web|title=KAB-500-OD "drop-and-forget" guided bomb|website=Rosoboronexport|url=http://roe.ru/eng/catalog/aerospace-systems/air-bombs/kab-500-od/}} variant is equipped with a fuel-air explosive warhead. The technology of KAB-500Kr is also used for larger bombs, such as KAB-1500Kr based on the 1500 kg class FAB-1500 iron bomb.{{cite journal|url=http://www.ausairpower.net/APA-Rus-GBU.html|title=Soviet/Russian Guided Bombs|author=Dr C Kopp|website=ausairpower.net|date=11 August 2009|pages=1|access-date=18 October 2015}}{{cite web|url=http://eng.ktrv.ru/production_eng/323/518/519/|title=Tactical Missiles Corporation JSC|work=ktrv.ru|access-date=18 October 2015|archive-url=https://web.archive.org/web/20151127144542/http://eng.ktrv.ru/production_eng/323/518/519/|archive-date=27 November 2015|url-status=dead}}
